We were so excited when things finally started to warm up. Summertime is so much fun! We had a great time playing slip and slide with the cousins in grandma/grandpa Ebert's backyard!
We had a great time with the hewards and the bowthorpes at the Lehi rodeo
Took a trip to Cornwall's cabin, we loved hanging out with everyone and playing in the river.
Granite parade for the morning of the 4th of July followed by BBQ with cousins at Gma/Gpa Ebert's house followed by pool party at aunt Nancy's house lead to two very tired girls, but they woke up just in time to watch fireworks over grandma/grandpas back hill. It was an awesome day! (Face paint work done by miss Clara)
We discovered a really fun splash pad in Sandy and we visited a few times, it is perfect for the kids to run and play in on the hot days!
Eliza started potty training and has done great! (Mila was a really patient teacher)
During the first part of July me and my friends Andrea and Brittany took a weekend trip down to St. George. We had a great time we saw beauty and the beast at Tuacahn and did some shopping and some relaxing, it was a much needed break.
While we were gone the boys did a great job entertaining the kids!
Our thanksgiving point pass expired in August so we took a few more trips to the dinosaur museum and to farm country.
We love walking to Granite elementary or Granite park to play at the playground.
We had a fun time at wheeler farm with grandma and heather and the cousins.
We took a weekend trip to sun valley with uncle Mike and my parents (Jeff and my dad had Bar Association classes) it was relaxing to just hang out at the house my parents rented and to walk around and explore the town.
It just wouldn't feel like a full summer experience without a quick stop at Lagoon. The girls really enjoyed the kiddie rides this year!
We spent an afternoon picnicking with some friends at a cute little lake (Tibble Fork Reservoir) up American Fork Canyon. The girls had fun wading in the water and playing in the dirt. (But Eliza was not a fan of the mud)
I did not see it happen but Mila told me she was pretending to put her doll to sleep on the bottom bunk bed when she either fell or jumped off the bed and came down wrong and broke her right forearm. I didnt take her in right away because it didn't seem to be hurting her but after a few days of her not wanting to use It I took her in. I'm glad I did.
This is her second cast. Last time she happened to be sleeping when they put it on so I picked pink for her. This time she got to choose by herself and she chose purple.
It makes me so sad when she breaks a bone but she is so tough and has such a great attitude through it all which is such a blessing. I am also reminded of how mild her brittle bones have been up to this point the doctors seem to be impressed with how well she has done this far. I hope and pray that she can continue to grow strong and healthy. She really is such a trooper and she loves showing off her new purple cast!
She always asks if she can bring her cast with us when we are going places and I pretend to reluctantly agree, "I guess you can bring it with us if you promise to leave it on." Ha ha.
Mila started preschool the last week of August and has been loving it! She goes Tuesday/Thursday 9:00-11:30 She sings me songs and tells me what she learns each day like if she has to cough she needs to cough into her elbow, and Zac and Amy are her alphabet pals helping her learn letters of the alphabet. She likes when they get to play with toys and snack time and playground time. She also likes that she gets to go to school with her friend Addy.
Both girls started dance class. It is a ballet/tumbling/tap class and they are loving it! I am glad I found a place that let's them go to class together.
We had a fun last minute getaway to St. George with my parents and Mike.
It has been a busy, busy, fun, fun summer and although I have to admit the cool weather is refreshing for this pregnant mama I am not sure I am ready for all the fun summer time activities to come to an end. Here are a few random pictures from our summer craziness.
