Since this will be our final blog update from Kentucky, and since both Mila and Eliza were born here I thought it would be fun to compile some fun information for them about Kentucky.

| Versailles is surrounded for miles by beautiful world renowned thoroughbred horse farms... nothing but scenery like this (honestly the photos don't even do it justice) |
Which brings me to this

| THE KENTUCKY DERBY |
The Kentucky Derby is the oldest continuously held horse race in the country. It is held at Churchill Downs in Louisville on the first Saturday in May.
Kentucky is called the "Bluegrass State" Bluegrass is not really blue- Its green- but in the spring bluegrass produces bluish purple buds that when seen in large fields give a blue cast to the grass. | ||
| Located in Lexington KY, this is by far the BEST school in the world... oh and on an unrelated note this is where your Dad spent a lot of his time and graduated from Law School! |
I should also mention this school (state) has this little thing called "BIG BLUE NATION".. GO WILDCATS! Mila loved to cheer for them she'd ask to put on her UK tu-tu and she would yell"GO BIG BLUE" and "C-A-T-S! cats, cats, cats!" while giving double fist pumps!

| This was our favorite "not available in Utah" place to eat.. I drool just thinking about dipping some texas toast, fried chicken and fries into their secret sauce! Mmm Mmm... |

| In the Summertime in Kentucky the Lightning Bugs come out and they are absolutely magical! |

| Kentucky also has some seriously nasty bugs, especially these! They are huge and they would get in the house. I'd find them hanging out around the shower/bathtub all the time not sure what their official name is but some people call them "thousand legger bugs". |
There are also a lot of critters in Kentucky, the rabbits I didn't mind
Its these horrible nasty possums and skunks that the dogs liked to find
But my absolute favorite thing I will remember about living in Kentucky is becoming a mom to
both of you BEAUTIFUL GIRLS!
