The Grinch Who Stole Christmas! 2015

Merry Christmas! This year was so much fun.  The girls were old enough to understand what was happening!  They loved seeing Christmas lights and enjoyed singing Christmas songs.  Their favorite song was Jingle Bells and Mila really enjoyed singing "Where is Santa? Where is Santa? Here I am, Here I am.  Merry, Merry Christmas... HO HO HO! HO HO HO!" which she learned at preschool for the Christmas program.  She also enjoyed reciting the Pledge of Allegiance which she also learned at preschool (we weren't exactly sure how this had anything to do with the season, but it was so dang cute she recited it for everybody!)  This is our Family Eve Christmas party with the Ogles. (my mom's side of the family)

The girls also had their first dance recital.  They danced to the song, "I got the Chicken Pox for Christmas." They both did great, it was fun to watch.

Spencer was so cute hes getting so smiley and enjoyed the extra attention from all the family and friends who were around for the holidays.  He is a pretty social baby.

So, I bought the girls the movie, Dr. Seuss's "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas" DVD to keep in the van so we could feel more festive as we drove around, (It was one of my favorite Christmas stories as a kid) anyways, they loved it and Mila could probably recite about 90% of it! Diane took the girls to build a bear and let them make any stuffed animal/character of their choice.  I bet you wouldn't guess, they both picked Grinches! They were so darling.  Mila's was dressed in Holiday Grinch pajamas.  Eliza picked out the "sparkli-est" winter diva outfit she could find.  Since they were so into the Grinch Jeff had a great idea to have the grinch come and steal Christmas.

The night before Christmas we hung out with family, had a great dinner, sang songs and opened Christmas PJ's and then we  left out cookies and carrots for Santa and his reindeer.  When morning came, the girls were surprised that instead of the tree filled with presents underneath they found nothing but their grinches and a note that told them that the grinch had stolen Christmas and in order to find out where he hid it they would have to follow some clues.  I wasn't sure how thrilled they would be to find out their Christmas had been stolen, but THEY LOVED IT!  They followed the clues all around the basement which finally led them to the movie room where the grinch had relocated the tree and presents.  It was a big hit.  They got a lot of baby doll stuff (including a doll bunk bed Jeff built for them and doll carriers I sewed for them).  I loved it and I loved spending time together with them and with all of our family.  It is fun to be on the "Santa" side of Christmas to get to help make the season "magical".

I grateful for the birth of our Savior and the ultimate sacrifice he made for us.  I am so very blessed and am thankful for the knowledge I have that our Family is Forever! LOVE THEM! -Merry Christmas!
