MONTH IV

Spencer's 4 Month Stats
14 lbs 3.5 oz (25% weight)
24.5 in (15% height)

Everything looked great at his 4 month Dr appointment.  He is a happy healthy baby! This month he has started grabbing toys and is starting to hold them for short periods.  He has started rolling over and seems to actually prefer laying on his tummy.  He makes more baby sounds and likes to interact with people.  I let him try some mashed up bananas and he seemed to love them, it was so cute as I would move the spoon closer to his mouth he would stick his little tounge in and out really fast like a little lizard and go cross eyed looking down at the spoon, I had to stop feeding him a few times because me and Jeff were laughing.  He likes to be carried around (forward facing) so that he doesn't miss anything.  He has a very cute personality.  He smiles so big at new people and then buries his head into my chest like he is embarrassed or bashful, it is so cute! He really is a pretty easy going baby.

The girls are still pretty baby crazy, we have had a lot of fun playing babies together.  They love showing him off to their friends and to new people, I love that they are proud and love him. They are going to make the best mommies one day!

This month Jeff had the 2nd week of Jan off of work so we went down to St. George and spent a few days and then went down to California and visited Disneyland for a couple days.  It was so nice to get to feel some warm sunshine for a while.  We also visisted the beach for a few hours before we headed back up north.

Jeff's parents got their Hot tub and we have enjoyed spending time in it.

We also got to go to a University of Utah Gymnastics meet (here is Spencer in his Uof U attire) man he is so Handsome! That dimple is going to break some hearts.. watch out girls!

Since we've started a new year Mila is now in primary! Wow I can't believe I have a kid in primary! She is so lucky to have her grandma Tami as her sunbeam teacher.  Me and Jeff just got called as primary teachers also (we teach the 4-5 year olds, the class above sunbeams) it is sure fun to get to watch Mila in sharing time.  She looks like such a big girl sitting in there with all of the older kids.  I am so proud of her!

Eliza is also doing great she has 1 more year in nursery, and she loves her teachers.  I was worried that she would have a hard time going once Mila left but she has done awesome!  She is also getting to be such a big girl.  She has started wanting to pick out her own outfits and got her first haircut last weekend,  She still has lots and lots of energy and wants to be just like her big sister (most of the time).  She is looking forward to getting to go to preschool (like Mila) in the fall.  But, until then she loves to hang out with me while Mila is in preschool and I love the time we get to spend together.  I am so so proud of my little "Lizer" girl.

Life is good for me.  Jeff just started a new job with Connolly doing forensic auditing.  It has only been 1 week but so far so good. He gets to work from home (but for now he has set up an office at his parent's house) We are excited for the change and are hopeful for the future.

I feel overwhelmed at times with 3 kids but really appreciate all of the love and support our family gives us everyday! They help make raising kids a lot more fun!

And a few more random photos just for fun:

The Grinch Who Stole Christmas! 2015

Merry Christmas! This year was so much fun.  The girls were old enough to understand what was happening!  They loved seeing Christmas lights and enjoyed singing Christmas songs.  Their favorite song was Jingle Bells and Mila really enjoyed singing "Where is Santa? Where is Santa? Here I am, Here I am.  Merry, Merry Christmas... HO HO HO! HO HO HO!" which she learned at preschool for the Christmas program.  She also enjoyed reciting the Pledge of Allegiance which she also learned at preschool (we weren't exactly sure how this had anything to do with the season, but it was so dang cute she recited it for everybody!)  This is our Family Eve Christmas party with the Ogles. (my mom's side of the family)

The girls also had their first dance recital.  They danced to the song, "I got the Chicken Pox for Christmas." They both did great, it was fun to watch.

Spencer was so cute hes getting so smiley and enjoyed the extra attention from all the family and friends who were around for the holidays.  He is a pretty social baby.

So, I bought the girls the movie, Dr. Seuss's "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas" DVD to keep in the van so we could feel more festive as we drove around, (It was one of my favorite Christmas stories as a kid) anyways, they loved it and Mila could probably recite about 90% of it! Diane took the girls to build a bear and let them make any stuffed animal/character of their choice.  I bet you wouldn't guess, they both picked Grinches! They were so darling.  Mila's was dressed in Holiday Grinch pajamas.  Eliza picked out the "sparkli-est" winter diva outfit she could find.  Since they were so into the Grinch Jeff had a great idea to have the grinch come and steal Christmas.

The night before Christmas we hung out with family, had a great dinner, sang songs and opened Christmas PJ's and then we  left out cookies and carrots for Santa and his reindeer.  When morning came, the girls were surprised that instead of the tree filled with presents underneath they found nothing but their grinches and a note that told them that the grinch had stolen Christmas and in order to find out where he hid it they would have to follow some clues.  I wasn't sure how thrilled they would be to find out their Christmas had been stolen, but THEY LOVED IT!  They followed the clues all around the basement which finally led them to the movie room where the grinch had relocated the tree and presents.  It was a big hit.  They got a lot of baby doll stuff (including a doll bunk bed Jeff built for them and doll carriers I sewed for them).  I loved it and I loved spending time together with them and with all of our family.  It is fun to be on the "Santa" side of Christmas to get to help make the season "magical".

I grateful for the birth of our Savior and the ultimate sacrifice he made for us.  I am so very blessed and am thankful for the knowledge I have that our Family is Forever! LOVE THEM! -Merry Christmas!
