Rub-a-dub-dub Mila-in-the-tub

Occasionally Mila gets a little gross and needs a bubble bath. She seemed really nervous throughout most of it but eventually came around in the end.

ChatterBox

Mila had her 2 Month appointment last week:

Weight: 9.5 Lb
Height: 21.5 in
3rd Percentile on the Growth Chart

The Doctor said she is proportionate and is growing well (he said it doesn't matter that she is low on the growth chart just that she is growing in proportion) she did give us a scare though: the day before her appointment I noticed that she was holding her Left arm funny and wasn't really using it: I showed it to the Dr and he also thought it didn't look right and he thought it might even be a little bit swollen (I was so worried that she had fractured it) he sent us over to the hospital to have it X-rayed, this poor girl put up with alot, 3 shots followed by repositioning and being handled for x-rays-- (she slept alot the rest of the day) because she was so worn out.. Turns out it was fine- No Fracture! I was so relieved.

Her new trick is talking/singing it is so much fun to watch her play and entertain herself, I wonder what she is trying to say?  Sometimes I think she is trying to sing to me and sometimes I think she is recounting experiences she had throughout the day, here is a clip of her talking to the world:
(oh and thanks Great Grandma Jeannine for the adorable play station She Plays with it every day!)

Here are some fun random pictures taken while I was trying to get us packed and ready to go camping:

and by the time I am finished getting ready this girl is totally pooped!

Camping

This past weekend we met up with Jason and Melissa Newman's family at Hardin Ridge in Hoosier National Forest. It was lots of fun lounging around and relaxing.

Mila really enjoyed her first camp-out and did really well even though it was very hot and humid. Fortunately for all of us the Newmans brought a giant fan which probably made the difference between life and death that night. As you can see, Jack really enjoyed the fire on his "spooky camp-out".  It was fun hanging out with the Newmans and getting to meet adorable little Cadence (who somehow didn't make it into any of our pictures!)

Swim Time

Last week we decided that it was time for Mila to learn how much fun the water slides are over at Falling Springs Recreation Center. We got her all dressed up in her little pink bikini and off the the pool we went.

It was a super hot day and the cold pool looked very refreshing.

As everyone knows you have to take it slow. Start with the toes and savor every chilling second.

I couldn't handle the frigid water but Momma Jen took no time at all getting in and having fun.

Mila seemed to enjoy the water. She didn't cry and only fussed for a couple of seconds at first. Once she was in the water she smiled and kicked around.

Ya can't go to the pool without your sun bonnet.... What a doll.

It was a fun day and we're hoping that Mila will learn to love swimming because it is a low impact sport that will help strengthen her muscles; a perfect combination for a little cutie with OI.
