MONTH II

                  2 months
              12lbs 3oz 40% weight
               21.5in 2% height
               39.4cm 50% head circ
               98% weight/length

This little guy has been doing a ton of growing this month.  He has been a great baby doing all the things a great baby should.  He loves to eat and sleep!  He is starting to play more.  He talks to the mobile animals on his swing and he loves batting at his butterfly toy.

He is starting to stay awake for longer periods and is starting to interact a little bit, I have just started getting some sweet little coos and a few darling smiles from him.  He will still cuddle with me while he naps during the day but he is getting used to sleeping in his pack n play and is starting to get into a pretty regular sleep pattern at night, he likes to go down about 8:30-9:00 then he wakes up sometime between 3:00-4:00am for a little food/diaper change then it's back to sleep until about 6:30-7:00.

The girls are loving getting to help me take care of him.  They are both really into taking care of their dolls because they watch me take care of him all day. It is also really hard at times because their idea of helping is very different from mine and isn't always safe. I have caught Eliza trying to pick him up by his ankles, poking him in the eyes, and playing his belly like a bongo drum.  Mila's idea of snuggling him looks a little bit more like steam rolling him to me.  It can be so exhausting trying to take care of him and keep the girls taken care of and away from him at the same time.  I guess we are all learning our new roles in this family of 5 (I'm sure glad babies are resilient).

The girls practicing being "soft" they really love him so so much!

He smiles sometimes but is a pretty serious baby most of the time.

Mini Frankenstein costume for his first Halloween!

Hey little buddy! Just starting to sit in the bumbo a few minutes at a time, it's still hard work holding his head up for too long.

Here he is with his older wiser girlfriend Shiloh Heward (she is about 4months older)

Here he is playing catch up with his cousin Jordyn (about 2 months older) now it's no question where they get those cheeks! So cute!

I just love watching these 3 kiddos grow every day!

MONTH I

Just like that our little Spencer is 1 month old! He has been a really good baby (so far!) he eats and sleeps and pees and poops like a champ (he has only peed on me twice so far I consider that a success).

The girls absolutely adore him, they have to know where he is and what he's doing all the time and they love introducing him to new people! One of my daily challenges is keeping them from smothering him to death (out of love of course!) I love just watching them adore him!

He wakes up every 3 hours to eat usually  but will sometimes sleep 4-5 hours at a time if I can get his tummy full enough! He is great at nursing. He is such a cuddler I just can't get enough and hope he never outgrows these newborn cuddles. I love watching him and our family grow! This has been a fun month!

... And then there were 5!

             Spencer Finley Ebert
              Born @ 8:05 am
             September 25, 2015
                   6lb 10oz
                  19 in long

Happy Birthday to our little guy.  It was so wonderful to get to welcome Spencer Finley Ebert into the world and into our family today! The c-section went beautifully.  Spencer came out crying immediately and pee'd on the floor as the Dr was handing him to the nurse from the OR table, ha ha!

The nurses were impressed with how alert and strong he was. When they handed him to me he was still crying but I put him on my chest and talked to him and he looked up toward my voice and then quieted right down and we just snuggled until the Dr's finished sewing me up.  Then they wheeled us to the recovery room where he nursed like a champ!  He is a total natural at all of this! (I've had a little more practice too.) I was very impressed with how smoothly it all went and how great all of the nurses and Dr's were.

The girls were so super excited to meet him, Mila kept giving us updates such as; "the baby is crying" and "the baby is blinking." Eliza is so gentle and sweet with him, I am looking forward to watching them all grow together, I love our new little guy!

Getting Ready for Baby "E" number 3!

January 23rd we found out we would be having a third baby (I took the test on my birthday!!!) what a fun birthday present!  We couldn't be more excited! We have been trying to get everything ready and have spent the last few months trying to help the girls understand whats coming, and they too are very excited!

May 6th We went for the big ultra sound and were so thrilled to find out we are having a boy! I'm still trying to get used to the idea, I feel like I'm just getting the hang of the girl thing (plus I am a girl!)  Jeff keeps telling me it's really all the same until they're about 7, ha! I can say I'm sure excited to meet the little guy!

In case you were unaware our girls are obsessed with their stuffed animals.  Mila has "Owlie", Eliza has "Mr. Hippo-Bippo".  So of course one of the first things we had to do was add to the stuffed animal collection.  The girls helped me pick out this adorable little fox with a big bushy tail.  They are so excited to give it to him!

We have also had to upgrade some of our gear.  My sweet grandma helped us get this awesome new stroller set up! I love that I will still be able to take all 3 kids to the park and for walks around the neighborhood.

And for the "game changer".

In true Jeff/Jen fashion we have had to trade out a vehicle for each new child. I sold my cute little Subaru WRX when we had Mila.  Jeff sold his beloved Toyota T-100 truck when we had Eliza.  Jeff sold his Subaru Outback for this large/beautiful beast!  I told him that just because this thing has the capability of seating 6 kids he should not be getting any ideas! Ha ha. I do have to admit the extra room is heavenly! And I have been dealing with the "we used to be cool" emotions reasonably well, ha ha!

I guess this makes us "officially" ready to meet baby E #3 tomorrow!  (September 25th!) I sure am looking forward to meeting this little guy and becoming a family of 5!

ELIZA'S 2 YEARS OLD!

                    August 1, 2015
            Eliza (22 month appointment)
                      Height 33.25in
                      Weight 24.4lbs
Wow I can't believe my baby is 2! She is such a fun girl! She wants to do everything just like Mila right now and she too is into princesses.  We had a super fun backyard water "little mermaid" party in grandma/grandpa Ebert's backyard complete with blow up waterslide, piñata, yummy treats and fishy cupcakes.

I didn't do the best job getting pictures but we did actually have a lot of family and friends come (despite the lack of pictures to prove it - mom fail.) But most importantly we had so much fun celebrating this spunky girl's birthday!

Eliza is starting to talk a lot more, it is so much fun watching her and Mila playing together.  She imitates Mila very well and a lot of what she says is repeating what she hears Mila say.  She asks me to take her to the zoo every day.

She is such a daddy's girl! She asks where he is all day long then she repeats what I tell her, "oh, he's at work?" Then we pretend to call him at least 10x/day and actually call him 2-3x/day to tell him we are excited to play with him when he gets home, then when he actually does walk in the door at night she really can't contain her excitement! It is darling.

She is very very active/busy.  She does not walk she skips, bounces or runs to wherever she is going.  She does not sit still for very long and loves to jump off of things into your arms (sometimes whether you are paying attention or not).

She loves when Jeff throws her up high in the air she says "do it again" over and over and over! She could be pushed on the swings all day long and will go outside and run to the tramp and jump all by herself sometimes.

She is becoming miss independent she always says, "do it myself" and is very persistent/determined to get it figured out  on her own.  She has started to get herself dressed and has even started forming some opinions about what she wears.

She is just barely starting to pass Mila up on the growth charts.  They play very well together for the most part.  They love to make each other giggle.  But, they are sisters and who can bring out your strongest emotions better than a sister? I have found myself having to referee more often now that they are starting to care more about certain toys and not wanting to take turns.  Mila has had to endure a few nasty Eliza bites, Eliza has had a couple scratches/pinches and hair pulls from Mila. We are working on expressing our emotions through our words not violence!

I do have to say for the most part Eliza is very sweet and sensitive to others.  She loves being a "helper" and will bring Mila her toys, binkie, juice cup all the time.  Mila seems to know Eliza likes doing this and has started to ask Eliza to do things for her all the time, I'm curious to see how long this lasts.

Anyways I sure am glad to have this crazy, spunky, sweet, high energy girl in our family.  She adds so much light to my life and keeps me on my toes.  Happy Birthday little girl!

JUL-SEP 2015 "Highlights"

We were so excited when things finally started to warm up.  Summertime is so much fun! We had a great time playing slip and slide with the cousins in grandma/grandpa Ebert's backyard!

We had a great time with the hewards and the bowthorpes at the Lehi rodeo

Took a trip to Cornwall's cabin, we loved hanging out with everyone and playing in the river.

Granite parade for the morning of the 4th of July followed by BBQ with cousins at Gma/Gpa Ebert's house followed by pool party at aunt Nancy's house lead to two very tired girls, but they woke up just in time to watch fireworks over grandma/grandpas back hill. It was an awesome day! (Face paint work done by miss Clara)

We discovered a really fun splash pad in Sandy and we visited a few times, it is perfect for the kids to run and play in on the hot days!

Eliza started potty training and has done great! (Mila was a really patient teacher)

During the first part of July me and my friends Andrea and Brittany took a weekend trip down to St. George.  We had a great time we saw beauty and the beast at Tuacahn and did some shopping and some relaxing, it was a much needed break.

While we were gone the boys did a great job entertaining the kids!

Our thanksgiving point pass expired in August so we took a few more trips to the dinosaur museum and to farm country.

We love walking to Granite elementary or Granite park to play at the playground.

We had a fun time at wheeler farm with grandma and heather and the cousins.

We took a weekend trip to sun valley with uncle Mike and my parents (Jeff and my dad had Bar Association classes) it was relaxing to just hang out at the house my parents rented and to walk around and explore the town.

It just wouldn't feel like a full summer experience without a quick stop at Lagoon. The girls really enjoyed the kiddie rides this year!

We spent an afternoon picnicking with some friends at a cute little lake (Tibble Fork Reservoir) up American Fork Canyon.  The girls had fun wading in the water and playing in the dirt. (But Eliza was not a fan of the mud)

I did not see it happen but Mila told me she was pretending to put her doll to sleep on the bottom bunk bed when she either fell or jumped off the bed and came down wrong and broke her right forearm. I didnt take her in right away because it didn't seem to be hurting her but after a few days of her not wanting to use It I took her in.  I'm glad I did.

This is her second cast.  Last time she happened to be sleeping when they put it on so I picked pink for her.  This time she got to choose by herself and she chose purple.

It makes me so sad when she breaks a bone but she is so tough and has such a great attitude through it all which is such a blessing.  I am also reminded of how mild her brittle bones have been up to this point the doctors seem to be impressed with how well she has done this far.  I hope and pray that she can continue to grow strong and healthy.  She really is such a trooper and she loves showing off her new purple cast!

She always asks if she can bring her cast with us when we are going places and I pretend to reluctantly agree, "I guess you can bring it with us if you promise to leave it on." Ha ha.

Mila started preschool the last week of August and has been loving it!  She goes Tuesday/Thursday 9:00-11:30  She sings me songs and tells me what she learns each day like if she has to cough she needs to cough into her elbow, and Zac and Amy are her alphabet pals helping her learn letters of the alphabet. She likes when they get to play with toys and snack time and playground time.  She also likes that she gets to go to school with her friend Addy.

Both girls started dance class.  It is a ballet/tumbling/tap class and they are loving it! I am glad I found a place that let's them go to class together.

We had a fun last minute getaway to St. George with my parents and Mike.

It has been a busy, busy, fun, fun summer and although I have to admit the cool weather is refreshing for this pregnant mama I am not sure I am ready for all the fun summer time activities to come to an end. Here are a few random pictures from our summer craziness.
